Company Introduction: (History)

In 1924, our founder late Shri. Shankarrao Samal started executing construction projects within Mumbai.

Later in 1963, S Y Samal & Co. was established in Pune under the leadership of Mr. Shrikant Samal. Since then, it has been a prominent player in the construction and real estate industry in Maharashtra.

Over the last six decades, we have successfully delivered over 200+ projects covering 10 million sq.ft. in residential, commercial, industrial, corporate, healthcare, and institutional sectors.

Our commitment to high-quality standards, safety, ethics, and professionalism has led to continuous growth and industry-wide recognition.

Currently, the company is led by Mr. Shrikant Samal & Mr. Nayan Samal.

Mr. Shrikant Samal holds a B Tech in Civil Engineering from College of Engineering, Pune. With over five decades of experience, he has led numerous landmark projects, balancing functionality with aesthetics.

Under his leadership, the company continues to maintaining core values of integrity, excellence, and sustainability.

Mr. Nayan Samal

Partner / Director

Mr. Nayan Samal holds a Dual Diploma in Civil Engineering & Business Management from Cusrow Wadia Institute of technology, Pune. With over three decades of experience, he has been instrumental in the company’s expansion into real estate sector.

As a member of CREDAI - Pune Metro, he fosters innovation and customer-centricity, ensuring precision, quality, and sustainability in every project.

60 years of S.Y.Samal & Co

Our visionary founder, the late Mr. Shankarrao Samal , laid the foundation in 1924 as a civil contractor by partnering with M.R. Jilkar & Company in Mumbai.

He executed various large-scale projects in Mumbai, which included construction activities for:

  • The Bombay High Court buildings
  • Sardar Vallabhai Patel Stadium, Mumbai
  • The palace of the King of Gwalior
  • The Cotton Mills of Mumbai

Later, as Mr. Shrikant Samal joined the business, he shifted the base to Pune. Hence, in 1963, S Y Samal & Company was established in Pune under the stewardship of Mr. Shankarrao Samal and Mr. Shrikant Samal.

As Pune started to grow as an industrial hub with several automobile, FMCG, building material companies, and educational institutions setting up their base here, S Y Samal & Company had the opportunity to stand as a testimony for this growth phase by constructing factories, offices, buildings, and housing projects for these institutions.
